Cine Curto Merchandising 1.0

Designing Cultural Narratives Through Wearable Art

Cine Curto partnered with us to harness its dynamic visual identity and develop distinctive merchandise. They recognized the potential to extend their brand beyond the venue. They saw merchandise as promotional items and cultural artifacts that could generate revenue and deepen audience engagement by designing cultural narratives through wearable art.

A Fellowship Journey Led by: Empathetic Discovery | Inclusive Strategy | Visual Storytelling | Illustration

  • How might we transform Cine Curto's dynamic visual identity into a merchandise line that serves as a revenue stream and a vehicle for cultural promotion? We aim to design products embodying Cine Curto's essence while celebrating Latin American literary heritage.

  • Through active listening and co-creation with Cine Curto, we crafted a merchandise strategy that marries brand identity with cultural depth:

    1. Visual Identity Translation: We adapted Cine Curto's dynamic visual system to various product formats.

    2. Literary-Inspired Illustrations: We created detailed illustrations based on quotes from renowned Latin American authors.

    3. Product Ecosystem: We designed a cohesive line including T-shirts, tote bags, and BBQ aprons

This approach resulted in a merchandise line that's not just branded but culturally enriched and deeply meaningful.

  • While specific data is not provided, the qualitative impact is clear: Cine Curto now has a distinctive merchandise line that enhances brand visibility, opens new revenue streams, and deepens cultural engagement with its audience.

    6. Community Resonance Design
